Graphic Designer – DARC SPORT (Apparel)

JOB SUMMARY:

DARC SPORT is seeking a talented Graphic Designer with relevant experience and design skills to join our team of design professionals. We are looking for a motivated candidate, who is adaptable, flexible, and self-starter in a fast-pace environment. You will be partnering and assisting the Art Director and his team, collaborate on numerous projects simultaneously, while maintaining high level of details and meeting aggressive deadlines. In this role, you will be Designing for multiple brands across multiple platforms. The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time with or without notice. The Graphic Designer is responsible for the da-to-day efficient operation of the Design department and are responsible for but not limited to:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strong graphic foundation, must also take design direction well
• Self motivated and able to create original t-shirt ideas
• Help make tech packs when needed, also asking style numbers when needed
• Ensure that all art and spelling is correct and is not copy written
• Work with design team to achieve goals and hit deadlines
• Work on request from upper management when help is needed
• Help with graphic edits and updates per request

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Extensive knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to details
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong illustration and typography skills
• Ability to function well and must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously within a very fast paced environment
• High level of creativity
• Must have strong understanding of tech packs set-up
• Well versed in understanding printing techniques
• Ability to communicate and work well with co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
• Ability to maintain confidential information

Education and Experience:

• 3-5 + years of related professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3-5+ years of graphic technical design experience is required
• Ability to handle several tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment
