Location San Jose, CA ndash some onsite presence is required (Local Candidates Highly Preferred) Length 12 months + possible conversion to perm Start Date Sometime in February would be highly desired Title UIUX Designer Job Description My Medical-based Company Client is seeking an accomplished InteractionVisual Designer to create user interfaces for a variety of medical applications and instruments. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. This Clientrsquos ongoing design and development work includes both Windows Embedded and desktop applications development. Responsibilities Executes interaction design and visual design as part of a multi-disciplinary team Collaboratively plans and designs with engineers in an Agile-based environment. Able to lead research for various features conduct, interpret, and summarize more complex data analysis as needed, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to finalize findings. Develop guidelines, patterns, style sheets and libraries to create uniformity within the software engineering organization and solidify brand recognition with our customers. In addition to the UXUI design, a successful candidate will be willing to work as part of a software engineering team, participating in design documentation, unit test, code review, version control, defect tracking, and schedule development. Qualifications BABSBFA degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications). 5-7 years of relevant work experience. Proficient with industry standard design tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Balsamiq, Invision, Photoshop, Illustrator). Understanding of user research techniques and how they can be applied to problem-solving. Understanding of the user-centered design process. Experience implementing visual design systems across a range of platforms in an iterative software development environment. Knowledge of microbiology or other life sciences applications is desirable. Must be self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines. Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills.
