Kleinfelder’s Pittsburg, California office is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our teamWith a steady and growing backlog of work, we are excited to find the right person to join our growing Bay Area team located in the Pittsburg office and build their career in the field of construction inspection and materials testing.

We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients.We’re looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of welding and steel construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.

The ability and desire to expand your knowledge and skills into testing and inspection of additional materials is desired.

The Special Inspector will interact daily with owner and contractor teams to inspect active work projects, will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks to meet our client project goals.Required CertificationsAWS CWIDesired CertificationsNDT Level I or II in UT and/or MTICC Structural Steel & Bolting Special InspectorICC Structural Welding Special InspectorACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade IICC Reinforced Concrete Special InspectorTWIC card is required and must be able to work in refineries.

General knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel preferred.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
