Mission Recruiting: Chief Operating Officer – Healthcare Organization

A San Diego based healthcare organization is seeking its next Chief Operations Officer to take the organization further, as they continue their expansion and vision to provide quality healthcare to the community.

The COO will be responsible for the day to day operations, implementation of strategies to ensure efficiency and quality of care, patient services, and financial planning.

Compensation / Schedule: Full time (40 hours per week) Salary (w-2) based on experience Comprehensive Benefits Package Responsibilities: Provide day to day operational leadership for a complex organization consisting of outpatient medical, dental, and behavioral health services including patient eligibility, patient communications, community outreach, and training/development programs.

Ensure that all organizational operations and activities are being carried out in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws Provide leadership and support to organizational initiatives to continually improve patient outcomes, quality of services, and efficiency of operations Directly supervise the senior operations management team of the organization and ensure that all direct subordinates’ performance, deliverables, and goals are reviewed on a regular basis using defined objective criteria.

Determine staffing requirements, workforce planning, talent acquisition, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations for new employees Qualifications: Prior experience as a COO or similar leadership role in a health care organization Knowledge of clinical and operational standards as applied within a nonprofit health care business environment.

Proven success planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying programs, systems, and processes.

Extensive budgeting and financial management experience.
