Boeing is seeking an Occupational Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist 4 to serve as the focal for various programs including but not limited to industrial hygiene, noise/hearing conservation, electrical safety and radiation (ionizing/non-ionizing/laser) safety. This person will be responsible for all program elements within those subject areas such as program development, program review, compliance review, risk assessent and mitigation, training, recordkeeping, etc.Responsibilities include:Maintain program elementsPlan, implement, and assess safety programs and processes to maintain a safe and healthy work environmentDevelops and leads training Interprets and advises on the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operationsEvaluates and provides selection advice on existing or emergent risk management control technologiesLeads audits, inspections, and investigations and coordinates resolution of issuesDevelops corrective action plans to respond to internal and external audits and inspectionsWorks with management to facilitate risk management decisionsAnalyzes emerging technology for the identification of potential hazards and control methods Resume may be sent using the Apply for this job link on this posting.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)Bachelor’s degree7 years or more of directly related experience developing and implementing an electrical safety program7 years or more of directly related experience developing and implementing a radiation (ionizing/non-ionizing) safety program7 years or more of directly related experience performing industrial hygiene surveys such as noise monitoring, chemical exposure monitoring, and ventilation surveysProficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)Advanced certification such as CIH and/or CSPGood communication skills to be able to work with people at varying levels of the organizationSelf-starter that takes initiative to assess organizational needs and takes appropriate action to accomplish tasksAble to assess information and use sound judgment to make strategic decisions with minimal direction Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience, 13 years’ related work experience, etc.).Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
