ust be able to work varied shifts, either 7a – 7p or 7p – 7aJOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Provide therapeutic/diagnostic modalities, under physician’s direction, and in accordance with hospital policies and practice standards. Plays a key role in the educational process for the quality of respiratory care and cardiology services provided.MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Licensure and Certification: Current California RCP License. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certificationsEducation Required: Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program.Experience Required: Practical clinical experience in an acute and/or skilled hospital setting.PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: • The ability to speak Spanish is desirable.• One year practical experience as an RCP in an acute and/or skilled hospital setting is preferred.ESSENTIAL SKILLS:• Critical thinking skills.• Working knowledge of physiology, the respiratory systems and arterial blood gas analysis.• Ability to perform a patient assessment and correctly manage all respiratory equipment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to follow verbal and written directions that are professional and technical in nature.• Computer literate.
