We are seeking a Mission Senior Principal Systems Engineer who brings space vehicle system direction and engineering knowledge to our programs.

The successful candidate will have prior experience and/ or knowledge across all subsystems of the Space Vehicle and Bus.

Key subsystems of interest include, Command & Data Handling (C&DH), Power, Attitude Control, Communications, and Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) Payload subsystems.

The candidate should also have experience with Launch systems integration and logistics as well as early on-orbit operations and test and possess a detailed understanding of the design based on hands-on experience.

The Mission Senior Principal Systems Engineer will engage at a high operational tempo and demonstrate the ability to react quickly to changes in both plans and priorities while maintaining the implementation rigor needed to ensure mission results.

The role will also be a strategic position requiring daily contact with multiple organizations as well as customer counterparts.

Responsibilities include providing technical direction to the bus and communication supplier, communicating changes and issues with the System Engineering team, and development/management of the integration, test, and logistics needed to integrate the space vehicle and transport it to the launch site.

Required Skills: • 10 years engineering experience with at least 5 years working space vehicle and/or bus systems engineering • Experience with a dynamic collaborative environment including multi-functional and cross-site teams • Demonstrated excellent organization, coordination, planning, and team strengthening skills • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to managing interdependencies, identifying disconnects, between current and future architectures, requirements, and interfaces, and resolving system issues • Ability to perform trade studies from “first principles” and basic engineering fundamentals to facilitate a design from inception forward • U.S.

Citizenship status • Active Secret security Clearance day 1 Desired Skills: • Experience with Space Qualification • Experience with the Full System Life Cycle (from customer requirements through launch integration) • Experience with Launch Systems Integration • Experience with requirements analysis, capture, flow down and verification • Experience managing system interfaces • Experience managing technical budgets (Mass, Volume, etc) Required Education (including Major): Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related technical discipline (preferably Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Software Engineering) U.S.
