Position Description: We are seeking a hard-working software engineer to join the PIMCO Portfolio Technology team.
Building on top of a modern, scalable, cloud-based infrastructure, the Portfolio Technology team develops and maintains the applications, platforms and tools that are central to PIMCO’s trading and portfolio management processes.

We strive to heighten appreciation for diverse perspectives and skills, facilitating increased collaboration and improving our ability to attract and engage top talent.In this role, your work will fall into 1 or more of the following categories:Trade risk sizing and capital allocation decision supportSystematic order management and workflowFine-grained trade risk and performance trackingPortfolio PnL and historical performance attributionSupporting Portfolio Management, Product Management, and Client-Facing teams globallyResponsibilities may include:Solving engineering challenges associated with large data processing volumes and/or complex calculation dependenciesForward development of new system components and enhancements to existing codebase(s)Working collaboratively with other Portfolio Technology team members Learning various aspects of PIMCO business and operational processesDirect interaction with business users (Trade Floor, PMs, Risk Managers, etc.) in order to define, roll-out, and support new platform features Position Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the investment domain building large-scale application solutions by using modern full stack technologies in a front office environment or supporting a portfolio management technology capacityExperience in writing backend services using Java, or C# (while we are using Java, we will consider strong candidates in other languages as long as they show ability to learn Java)Interest in learning about / working with modern UI technologiesUnderstanding of infrastructure fundamentals such as Unix, SSH, Kerberos, and ADFSHands-on experience working with cloud-specific infrastructure (e.G.
