Communications Lead – Stores

As a Store Communications Supervisor you are expected to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Bank, Men’s Wearhouse and Moores).

You are responsible for learning, retaining and understanding the company’s corporate and store structures which are critical to providing the level of knowledge and communications to execute key initiatives and day-today operational tasks.

The Store Communications Supervisor focuses on store support which requires strong organizational and excellent communication skills, with a focus on attention to detail to manage store workload challenges.

Also required is the ability to work effectively within a team environment, including building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the organization with both field and corporate business partners.

Duties And Responsibilities Manages the Store Communications Specialists to execute the communications strategy for multiple brands (Jos.


Bank, Men’s Wearhouse and Moores).

Creates and sustains exceptional brand standards for communications expectations; formatting, writing to various audiences, and timing to allow for proper adoption or execution.

Ensures the Gatekeeper guidelines for all communications in The Loop are sustained and evolve as needed based on business needs.

Partners with The Loop Administrator to ensure the system is sustained and evolves with the business (i.e., during crisis, challenging retail environment, etc.).

Maintains the Store Workload Calendar by Brand to ensure planning is maintained a quarter in advance to allow for a balanced workload, while driving the business.

Drafts, launches or edits Store Operations Communications, maintaining exceptional written communication skills and manage the translation process (i.e., Moores).

Manages the Multi-Unit Manager Communications and continue to build a communications strategy for MUMs.

Supports store activation ensuring stores receive advanced notice of Marketing, Merchandising, Visual Presentation and employee training to support a main season or brand focus.

Develops and leads the meeting cadence with Business Partners to collect workload information, changes and prevent late communications.

Partners with key store operations business partners, PMO, Rental Ops., Retail Ops., Custom Ops., and Training & Development to ensure they are aligned on store workload balance and communications.

Partners with Project Management Office to provide a store perspective on major projects and gain the level of knowledge to support the rollout as an expert.

Develops and sustains knowledge to continually be an operational expert and support our internal customers on operational policies, practices, procedures and communications.

Supports multi-unit managers of multiple divisions – understanding the nuances of each brand to communicate effectively.

Recognizes opportunities within the department or company to be more efficient, cost effective and focused on priorities by providing recommendations and executing tasks to implement improvements.

Works in stores occasionally to understand the day-to-day experience in the stores, and best represent a store perspective at the corporate level.

Manages specific projects which may be assigned to you planned or ad-hoc, such as Intranet Site Management.

Skills, Abilities, Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Communications preferred.

Experience in Retail Management or Managing a Communications team is required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to flex to various audiences.

Ability to think strategically to develop a communications plan for the field organization.

Ability to take the initiative and follow through.

Strong command of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint – Savvy enough to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
