Job ID : 3475 Title: Sr Director—Content Marketing Location: New York, NY Job Type: 6 Month Contract Overview Our Marketing organization is looking for an experienced Sr.

Director, Content Marketing who will shape and lead enterprise content strategy.

This role will report to the Head of Performance Marketing and requires content, creative and digital marketing expertise in building programs that support brand, thought leadership, customer acquisition/demand generation, events, and sales/service enablement.

This role is accountable for establishing and leading a cohesive, scalable practice for the creation, development and enhancement of multi-media content across all online and offline channels ranging from email to web to print with the goal of elevating major campaigns and companywide initiatives while focusing on conversion opportunities throughout multiple business units, segments and client lifecycles including product solutions.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role
– from strategic planning to tactical production
– across the marketing mix.

We want a creative thinker who is excited to develop and bring to life fresh stories in innovative ways and who is an expert in all things related to content optimization across channels, brand consistency, segmentation and personalization, analytics and meaningful measurement.

You will: Build a Content team with strong writing, editorial, creative and production expertise to develop, implement and support content activities that drive awareness, positive affinity and demand for SVB within different client segments across all audience interfaces Design and execute an enterprise content strategy and delivery architecture that serves the needs of our audiences, delivering content that reinforces SVB’s expertise and distinct point-of-view as a leader in the Financial Services industry
– and continue evolving to respond to business and market dynamics Develop and manage the cross-enterprise content roadmap and editorial calendar that includes earned, owned, paid content programs Develop and continuously evolve content that is aligned to our segments and their journeys that delivers business outcomes Own and develop the editorial strategy that governs the content experience and drives engagement across the different channels Contribute to the roadmap for the future growth of all platforms and channels that use content to deliver needed experiences and insight to our audiences Ensure content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, video, print, etc.

across different client segments Develop and implement standards, processes, and partners that enable content creation and guide content activities across the organization Work in close collaboration with internal marketing teams and external partners to ensure content approach and activity is creative, compelling and coordinated across the organization, and aligned with strategic, business and brand goals Lead and manage content production Lead evaluation of content agency support and ongoing needs
– considering budget, relationship exclusivity, content volume, content refresh rates and delivery schedules as part of the agency audit Work with Integrated Marketing Strategy and other Performance Marketing teams (e.g.

Channel, Operations, Marketing Technology & Analytics) to ensure all content is effectively promoted, shared and optimized across channels Set objective and KPIs for content quality and effectiveness and lead team towards demonstrable improvement in these success metrics Skills/Requirements: 12 years’ experience of progressively more senior roles in B2B and B2C content strategy and production for agency and/or large, complex organization preferred 8 years leadership and people management experience Extensive understanding of digital and content marketing industry trends, tactics and user behavior Broad understanding of the Financial Services industry and the environment Authentic expertise in the startup and innovation economy as well as financial services Proven editorial skills and ability to establish, maintain and continually improve editorial processes and workflows Ability to lead effectively in a dynamic environment Building discipline and practice from scratch Proven creative management skills Ability to craft content strategies that are client centric Storyteller with strong visual and written communication skills and the ability to present complex information simply with a relatable, human touch Strong understanding of inbound marketing and SEO practices Demonstrated experience in defining and driving content strategies that result in driving business and brand goals Experience interpreting and translating brand strategies into content programs Experienced managing long-term content franchises as well as real-time, opportunistic content creation and distribution strategies and tactics Experience in understanding how martech resources scale content practice and overall effectiveness Competencies Self-motivated, a good team player and able to influence cross-functionally Creative problem solver, ability to think dynamically, excited to experiment and can adapt quickly to new opportunities and challenges Lead and inspire teams of creative and content creators to produce breakthrough work Proven ability to communicate effectively with C level executives Ability to manage internal and outsourced teams effectively
