Job DescriptionValiant Integrated Services is looking for an experienced, highly skilled Electronic Maintenance Technician II to join our professional team at Ft. Hunter-Liggett, CA providing support to the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP). ATMP brings to bear the full capabilities of many of the world’s best systems integration and engineering companies in the technical integration of live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training support. ATMP operations support the installation and training mission to provide realistic joint and combined arms training focused on developing soldiers, leaders, and units of the United States military for success on the 21st Century Battlefield. Primary Task Order: 06 Primary System: HITS Secondary System(s): GMDT Essential Job Duties: Includes, but not limited to: * Set-up, maintains, repairs, and installs in support of the HITS device and related devices Applies technical knowledge of electronics principals in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skills in restoring equipment operations. * Operates theater equipment in support of customer presentations and AARs. * Will oversee routine periodic maintenance and perform repairs as needed on equipment. Performs PMCS, troubleshoots and isolates faults. * Uses spare/repair parts to repair faults IAW technical guidelines. * Researches and selects repair parts needed. Enters work order data in the on-line management information system. * Applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents. Document all maintenance actions by inputting data in MIS. * May be required to support other devices and will be cross-trained, as needed. Mental/Physical Requirements: * Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as appropriate. * Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind and rain) and at height (towers and phone poles). * Must be willing to work a flexible workweek. * Must have or be able to obtain a valid state driver license and maintain post driving privileges. * Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation. * May be required to obtain Secret security clearance. * This position may require travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS. Minimum Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Other Abilities): * Preferred: 2-year Associate Degree in electronics or related technical field (BS Degree desirable/Experience Equivalent to Degree) with 4 years of recent electrical/electronic industrial work experience; Minimum 6 years of experience with electrical systems and /or repair of electronic components. * May consider experience in lieu of formal education (military training, technical school, and/or professional experience).
