Regional Medical Center of San Jose is a 264 bed acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma Center. The hospital provides a host oftechnologically advanced services including Cardiovascular, Neuro, Orthopedic, Bariatric and GeneralSurgery, Interventional Pulmonology and services for Women. Regional holds Joint Commission advancedcertification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center anda Get with the Guidelines- Stroke Gold Plus Performance AchievementAward from the American Heart Association/American StrokeAssociation. County-designated STEMI (heart attack) Receiving Centerdesignated Lung Cancer Screening Center, a member of Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ECMO) andcertified by The Joint Commission in Sepsis care.

SCHEDULE: .8 FTE ( 32 HOURS PER WEEK), SHIFT: Days with rotating weekends
POSITIONSUMMARY:
Coordinates total nursing care for critically illpatients, averaging in age from 57-70 years. Primary patient populationserved include those admitted for acute/unstable trauma, acute neurologicalincidents, acute respiratory failure, MI, acute GI bleed,electrolyte imbalance, and patients post drug overdose. Participates inpatient/family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively withmembers of the health care team to maintain standards for professional nursingpractice in the clinical setting. Participates in organizational and unit basedquality improvement activities. Is able to provide mentorship and guidance tonew employees.
