Player Services Rep – Casino Morongo

This is a Contract position in Cabazon, CA posted October 28, 2020.

Provides exceptional guest service by the processing of cash handling transactions including currency, check cashing, chip redemption, credit card advances and other methods of supplying cash for gambling needs. Conducts Morongo Rewards membership enrollments, process player tracking information and answers general property questions. Processes accurate cash transactions including check cashing and chip redemption.Handles and processes counter checks/safekeeping/front money transactions including but not limited to issuance, redemption and partial payments. Maintains accountability of counter checks after issuance and transfer to the cashiers’ cage. Processes and pays out credit card advances.Processes and pays out large jackpots.Maintains functionality of the ATM’s, Ticket Redemption Kiosks, Currency Recycler, ECD, and any other Cash Operations managed equipment. This includes but is not limited to routine cleaning and maintenance and troubleshooting issues such as hopper and receipt jams.Maintains inventory of gaming chips and coins used on gaming tables.Enrolls guests in Morongo Rewards and issues new player cards, reprints and maintains accurate player tracking information.Maintains in depth knowledge of all Morongo Rewards offers, rewards, events and amenities.Communicates all offers to Morongo Rewards members and answers questions regarding offers.Maintains relationships with known guests and develops relationships with players in order to maximize opportunity for personalized experience and returned visits.Assists with guests over the phone and in person.Assists with the resolution of guest issues.Maintains accountability of the cashiers’ cage in accordance with internal controls and requirements of the Morongo Gaming Agency and Accounting.Adheres to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program and its regulations including, but not limited to, Title 31 Cash Transactions, Suspicious Activity Reporting and Customer Identification requirements.Performs other job related duties as assigned.Must have excellent guest service skills. Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information. Must be competent with various PC based software programs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Strong math and money-handling skills are a necessity. Good interpersonal skills are a necessity. Must possess a high regard for guest service and working in a team environment. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of one year cashiering experience preferred. This position will require Title 31 Anti-Money Laundering training. The training will be provided by MCRS and must be taken within the first two (2) weeks of starting within the position. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency. LANGUAGE SKILLS:Tact and diplomacy are essential. Ability to interpret documents such as rules and regulations, instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to guests and team members. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. REASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear. The team member is required to reach with hands and arms. The team member may be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and lift and/or move over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This is a fast paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it. The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment. WORKING HOURS:Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require Team Members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
