Director of Space & Components Product Line with Security Clearance

Job Description Responsibilities: The Space & Components Product Line Manager (PLM) within the company’s RF&M Business Unit is responsible for developing the product line strategies, enabling revenue growth through the timely introduction of cost effective, differentiated products ensuring high gross margin. The PLM will maintain and execute to the product roadmap based on input from Customers, Customer Account Managers, Sales and Market Intelligence. The PLM is responsible for a portfolio of products over the entire life cycle and is responsible to EOL obsolete products. The PLM is responsible for setting pricing and product line growth. The PLM shares responsibility for revenue forecasting and will provide a cross check on forecast accuracy. This role requires leadership in the development of single component products and module products. The PLM will be responsible for ensuring close interaction and coordination between the customer programs and manufacturing operations which includes managing prototyping, transition to production and full product lifecycle activities. The PLM will oversee and coordinate with other functional groups including customer account management, engineering, sales, finance, production, and customer service. This position will be responsible for achieving gross margin targets while supporting sales to provide exceptional customer satisfaction. Finally, this role will participate in or lead internal process and productivity improvement projects. The qualified candidate for this position will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities * Develop Product Line growth strategies and maintain the product roadmap. * Become the technical expert not only for the product line but also on market trends * Set product pricing and develop customer specific pricing strategies in coordination with Customer Account Managers and Sales that insure revenue and margin growth. * Forecast of orders and sales of new and existing products. * Monitor product margins through the life cycle and implement margin improvement through cost reduction, EOL (End of Life) and Price Increase. * EOL (End of Life) products as they become obsolete and better alternatives are available to drive revenue and margin growth. * Work with sales and engineering to develop market positioning strategies for the product portfolio. (Go to market plan for each product group). * Create MRDs (Market Requirement Documents) and kick-off new product development in advance of roadmap requirements. * Collaborate with customer account managers, sales and engineering to define custom product requirements * Communicate new product development status to Customer Account Managers, Sales and Customers. Qualifications: Qualifications * BSEE with 5 years of experience as a product/program manager (or equivalent) in the semiconductor industry (MSEE preferred) * Experience in an RF/Microwave technical role (design, product engineering, applications engineering, etc) preferred * Experience and familiarity with the Space market, associated requirements and screening levels * High level understanding of RF Systems from the system design level to the various components which make up the system helpful * A demonstrated ability to build new business and maintain positive relationships * Demonstrated successful execution of customer growth that delivered measurable business results * Proven ability to influence and drive internal and external customers and cross-functional teams without formal authority * Ability to read and understand customer specifications and requirements and ability to write proposal responses to these statements of work * U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Security Clearance * Ability to share and teach internal and external customers on the technology tradeoffs * Price and opportunity negotiation skills * Organized self-starter with a high level of motivation and desire to succeed * Excellent communication, meeting facilitation and presentation skills * Excellent teamwork skills – “a team player” * Position will require travel
